Privacy policy
Last updated: 5 October 2026
PriceMove helps you follow the prices of products you choose. This policy explains what personal data we process, why, and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Who is responsible
The controller is Web eMotion SRL, Rue Maurice Brancart 21, 7090 Braine-le-Comte, Belgium, company number 0500.497.531. Contact: contact@pricemove.app.
What we collect
- Account: your email address, optional name, language, country and time zone (the last three are guessed from your browser when you sign up and can be changed in settings).
- What you track: the product links you add, the versions you follow, your target prices, alert settings and notes.
- Notifications: the alerts we sent you, and, if you turn on push, a technical address for your browser’s push service or, in the PriceMove app, your phone’s push token and model name. If you connect Telegram (Premium), your Telegram chat number and username, to send your alerts there.
- Premium: if you subscribe, Stripe handles the payment and your card details; we never see them. We receive your Stripe customer reference, your plan, its status and its renewal date.
- Usage records: when you use “Go to shop” we record the click (which offer, when). Server logs keep IP addresses for security for up to 14 days.
We do not track your browsing, we do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell data. The only cookies we set are needed to keep you signed in and to remember your language, so no cookie banner is needed.
Why (legal bases)
- To provide the service you signed up for: checking prices, sending the alerts you asked for and, for Premium, taking payment (contract, art. 6(1)(b)).
- To keep billing records as accounting law requires (legal obligation, art. 6(1)(c)).
- To keep the service secure and working, and to prevent abuse (legitimate interest, art. 6(1)(f)).
- Push notifications only with your permission in the browser (consent, art. 6(1)(a)); you can turn them off at any time.
The browser extension
The extension is optional. It reads a page only when you open it on that page, or, if you turn on the automatic options, on product pages you visit. It looks for product and price information in the page; it does not record your browsing history, and it sends nothing about pages that aren’t products you add or already track.
- Adding a product: the product page’s content (without scripts) is sent to PriceMove to read the product and its prices.
- Shops that block us (opt-in): when you visit a product you track on such a shop, its price is sent to keep your history up to date.
- Prices of products you track (opt-in): when you open the page of a product you track, its price is sent to keep your history up to date. The extension keeps the list of pages you track on your device and compares pages against it, so nothing is sent about other pages.
- Price panel (opt-in): on product pages, the extension asks PriceMove whether the product is known, to show its price history.
The extension never changes links on the pages you visit. You can disconnect it at any time in Settings → Browser extension.
Prices and products
Prices, availability and product names come from public shop pages, from shops’ product feeds and, for Amazon, from Keepa, a price-history service that only receives product identifiers. They are shared between users who follow the same product and are not personal data.
Some “Go to shop” links are affiliate links (the product page says so). When you follow one, the affiliate network (for example Awin) records the visit on its own site, under its own privacy policy, so the shop can pay us a commission if you buy.
Who processes data for us
We use processors under data processing agreements: hosting of our servers and database in the EU (OVHcloud, data centre in Strasbourg, France), email delivery ([provider]), browser push services operated by your browser vendor, Expo’s push service for the PriceMove app (it forwards alerts to Apple and Google; 650 Industries, Inc.), payments (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd.), and an AI service that reads shop pages when our own extractors fail (Anthropic; it receives the shop page, never your personal data). If you connect Telegram, your alerts are delivered through Telegram, which handles them under its own privacy policy.
How long we keep it
Account data is kept until you delete your account. Alerts are kept for 24 months. Billing records are kept as long as accounting law requires ([7 years]), also after you delete your account. An analysis started without an account is deleted after 7 days.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export and delete your data. Export and deletion are self-service in Settings → Privacy & your data; deletion is immediate and permanent. You can also object to processing, ask us to restrict it, and complain to your data protection authority (in Belgium: the Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit / Autorité de protection des données).
Changes
We will tell you by email before important changes to this policy take effect.
